Funetics Sessions
We are pleased to announce a new session at Houghton Harriers for all those young children who can’t wait to start their athletic journey.
The activities are based around England Athletics ‘Funetics’ and we will be covering all aspects of Run, Jump and Throw.
We will utilise games and activities with the main emphasis on everyone having fun. Further information is available here What is funetics? Learn About Our Kids Athletics programme
The program will be open to children in school years 2 & 3 and will run from 6:00pm until 6:30pm on a Wednesday evening in the large sports hall at Kepier school.
The dates of the initial 6 session course will be 27th September, 4th October, 11th October, 18th October, 1st November and 8th November (there is a break for half term after 4 weeks). Parents will be requested to stay within the school during the session.
The course will cost £2.00 per week or a one off £10.00 for the 6 week period in order to help towards the cost of the additional hall rental and places will be limited to 20.
All coaches are England Athletics qualified and DBS checked.
